Conor Harrington – “A Whole lot of Trouble for a Little bit of Win” Video

Conor Harrington è un artista piuttosto atipico, i suoi lavori sono sospesi in un immaginario appartenente ai mondi passati, l’artisa lavora su muro come se fosse una gigantesca tela offrendo quelli che sembrano veri e propri dipinti usciti da chissà quale reggia ottocentesca. I lavori sono arricchiti da uno stile al limite del sognante che rende l’opera ancora più in bilico tra passato e il presente.

Il complesso lavoro parte in studio dove Conor Harrington si serve di scenografie ed attori per creare e poi dipingere le sue opere che risultano quindi vere ed incredibilmente profonde.

Harrington ha da poco rilasciato questo video, un interessante making of di una delle sue prossime opere dal titolo “A Whole lot of Trouble for a Little bit of Win”.

A Whole lot of Trouble for a Little bit of Win is a new body of work I’ve been concentrating on over the summer. It’s based on my 2nd big photo shoot. Two of the paintings are currently on show at the Lazarides Bedlam exhibition, I’ll have 1 more big piece at the Rathbone later this month and finally I’ll be having a show of drawings and studies at The Outsiders early next year.

Hip hop nerds among you might recognize the title from a recent El P track and I thought it was the perfect sentiment to sum up the ideas in my work over the last few years. Non capita spesso di poter dare un occhiata così da vicino alle fasi che accompagnano un artista verso la realizzazione di un opera, quindi vi consigliamo caldamente di darci uno sguardo.
