Dopo la splendida serie di facciate dipinte insieme al Dream Team in quel di Ostiense (qui), Gaia continua il suo personale sodalizio con Roma, prolungando la sua permanenza nella città eterna e prodigandosi in un nuova piccola serie.

A fare da cerimonieri ancora una volta gli amici della sempre più attiva 999Contemporary Gallery, che offrono, con il sostegno dei prodotti di Oikos, due nuove facciate da trasformare.

Il grande street artist si addentra letteralmente nelle contraddizioni viscerali di una metropoli come Roma, sospesa tra passato e presente, tra scavi per riportare alla luce tracce e vecchie memorie dell’antico impero e nuove costruzioni ispirate alle stesse. Questo è il vero senso di “Sbudellare l’Identità della Città”, una profonda ed impattate opere su Roma e per Roma, da amare, osservare e digerire attraverso l’infinità dei dettagli proposti.

After the fantastic combo with Moneyless, 2502, Martina Merlini, Ozmo, Tellas and Andreco, we would give to Gaia the opportunity to leave in Rome one of its extraordinary pieces. Talking with the artist we found a volcanic inspired mind, Gaia is an artists before being a street artist, his curiosity, his vision, his research and his unique and personal art are a rare and precious thing in urban contemporary art landscape. His approach makes him one of the most “european” american street artist, maybe his italian roots have a role on this. We went to see a pretty nice spot near San Paolo Basilica, two specular walls. Gaia was watching and touching these cement surfaces saying “yes” and “yes” and “yes”. We thought all of these “yes” was for the issuing concept. After that just a couple of surreal sketches, a spraycan and other materials list. In a few days two big paints began to appear. As usual with Gaia, nothing we could recognize easily.
