Siamo grandi fan del lavoro portato avanti da Know Hope, l’artista si trova a Londra dove ha da poco aperto all’interno degli spazi della Lazarides Rathbone Gallery la sua ultima fatica “The Abstract and The Very Real”.

Sospeso tra la realtà della vita che lo circonda, con le sue durezze, imprevedibilità e cadute emotive, ed il mondo astratto squisitamente figlio di un immaginazione atta a discostarsi e disintossicarsi dai problemi veri, Know Hope continua la sua personale indagine sull’animo umano, attraverso i suoi delicati personaggi e le sue installazioni il grande artista indaga nelle pieghe dell’emotività umana, nelle paure e nella memoria, soffermandosi e ponendo l’accento attraverso intensi dipinti od opere site-specific con frasi e pensieri dal profondo e riflessivo significato.

Per questo suo show Know Hope presenta il frutto del suo lavoro di raccolta di materiali in strada, come cornici e vecchie carte che sono state assemblate e proposte nell’allestimento attraverso un bel parallelo che si concentra su concetti legati alla memoria ed alla temporalità da un punto di vista molto emotivo. L’uomo ancora una volta al centro dei suoi elaborati, l’uomo nella sua condizione collettiva tra barriere fisiche a similare le bandiere mentali come, confini, barriere, bandiere, argomenti legati a doppio filo con la sua terre ed a cui l’artista è particolarmente sensibile.

Addressing the human condition and its collective social existence through a series of unique works and a site-specific installation, the exhibition questions the ubiquitous notion of the “abstract and the very real”, the weight and burden of which though universally apparent is often unidentifiable to most.

Appropriating found objects, vintage frames and old papers, Know Hope will fill the exhibition with assemblages that visually embody abstract concepts of memory and temporality. Reclaimed materials will come together breaking free from the confines of canvas or frame, his archetypal character crawling from one to the next with the frames representing the empty spaces in our lives and our undying struggle to fill them.

Continuing his examination of the various things that stand between us – the borders, fences, flags and walls that dictate our lives – the artist draws parallels with the collective human condition, interpreting them as an emotional mechanism. The political implications of these objects are intended to trigger feelings of separation and our begrudging acceptance of such universally experienced forces of segregation within quotidian existence.
